Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ClipSafe ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of ClipSafe, including free and Pro subscribers.

ClipSafe is developed by Crypton Studio ("we," "us," or "our"). Questions or concerns can be directed to support@cryptonstudio.app.

2. Description of Service

ClipSafe is a clipboard management application for Android that:

Monitors clipboard content for sensitive patterns (OTPs, passwords, card numbers, etc.)
Encrypts sensitive clipboard entries using AES-256-GCM on your device
Automatically clears sensitive content from the system clipboard after a configurable delay
Stores a history of your clipboard entries locally on your device
Offers PIN and biometric lock for the app vault
Provides a backup/export feature for Pro users

3. Account Registration

ClipSafe does not require account registration. There is no sign-up, login, or personal profile. The App is tied to your Android device and Google Play account for purchase verification only.

4. Free Tier and Pro Upgrade

Free Tier: The free version of ClipSafe provides limited storage (up to 20 clips), basic detection, auto-clear, and PIN lock. Free users see advertisements served by Google AdMob.

Pro Upgrade: A one-time in-app purchase unlocks unlimited clip storage, AES-256-GCM encryption, ad-free experience, biometric unlock, and the backup/export feature. The Pro upgrade is processed through Google Play Billing and is subject to Google's payment terms.

Refunds: Refund requests for in-app purchases are handled by Google Play. We will honour refund requests submitted within 48 hours of purchase if the feature is materially defective. Contact us at support@cryptonstudio.app to request a refund review.

Price changes: We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Changes do not affect existing purchases.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use ClipSafe only for lawful purposes. You must not:

Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App (except as permitted by applicable law)
Use the App to store, process, or manage data you are not legally entitled to handle
Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the App
Use the App for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
Attempt to bypass the Pro paywall through unauthorised means
Distribute modified versions of the App

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its source code, design, graphics, logos, and other content, is the intellectual property of Crypton Studio and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on your personal Android device in accordance with these Terms.

This licence does not include: selling, reselling, or sublicensing the App; using the App's name or branding for commercial purposes; creating derivative works based on the App without our written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

ClipSafe is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
Guarantees that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure
Guarantees that detected sensitive patterns will be 100% accurate or complete

While we use industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption, no encryption system is guaranteed to be unbreakable. We strongly encourage users to maintain independent security practices and not rely solely on ClipSafe for the security of critical credentials.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Crypton Studio shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, profits, business, or goodwill arising from your use of the App
Damages arising from device compromise, OS vulnerabilities, or hardware failures that bypass the App's protections
Any failure to detect a sensitive pattern that results in unintended disclosure

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party services (Google AdMob, Firebase, Google Play Billing). Your use of these services is governed by the respective providers' terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or for any other reason.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Pro purchases are non-refundable after 48 hours except where required by law.

11. Updates and Changes

We may release updates to the App from time to time via Google Play. Some updates may be required to continue using the App or certain features. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time.

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the App or Google Play release notes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in India.
